The Culbute Museum, located in Chichester, is a local gem open each summer from July to September.
Housed in a heritage home, it takes its name from the “Culbute” rapids on the Ottawa River, a nod to the rushing waters. Inside, visitors can explore the history of Chichester and the families of L’Isle-aux-Allumettes, through a remarkable collection of carefully preserved artifacts.
This welcoming museum, maintained by dedicated members of the community, offers an authentic glimpse into the region’s heritage.
