Planned power outages

December 9, 2025

The Municipality of L’Isle-aux-Allumettes is aware of the extended power outage scheduled by Hydro-Québec for Wednesday, December 10th.

The duration of the interruption will vary by sector, depending on the electrical line supplying each residence. We strongly encourage all residents to consult the Planned service interruptions section on the Hydro-Québec website for the most accurate information for their specific address.

Based on the information provided by Hydro-Québec:

– Sheenboro, Chichester, Waltham, part of Mansfield-et-Pontefract, the village of Chapeau, and the north-western half of L’Isle-aux-Allumettes will experience outages from 7:00–8:00 a.m. and again from 6:00–7:00 p.m.

– The remainder of L’Isle-aux-Allumettes will be affected by a 12-hour outage from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

– In case of postponement, work will be rescheduled for Thursday December 11.

While the Municipality does not support the timing of these works during the winter period, Hydro-Québec has indicated that the interruption is necessary to complete planned upgrades to the regional electrical network. Formal complaints should be directed to Hydro-Quebec.

For residents needing a warm space or a place to charge devices, the St-Joseph Hall will be open for the duration of the outages.

We thank residents for their patience and understanding.
