Closure of Sheenboro Transfer Station

The municipality of Sheenboro wishes to inform residents that the Sheenboro Transfer site will be permanently closed as of April 26th, 2026 at 4:00 PM.

A final Large Item Drop Off Day will be held: Sunday, May 17th 2026, from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Residents will be permitted to drop off large items including but not limited to:

  • Paint and Oil
  • Tires
  • Scrap Metal

Please note: No construction materials will be accepted on this day.

The municipality will continue to offer disposal services for brush and leaves. Residents wishing to arrange drop-off for these materials are asked to contact the municipal office to make the necessary arrangements.

Council is currently in the process of negotiating with the municipalities of Isle Aux Allumettes and Chichester to establish an eco-centre that will be available to all residents in the near future.
