A correction has been made to the public election notice, giving September 5, 2025 for the dates in red below.
Municipality of Sheenboro Polling day: November 2nd, 2025
By this public notice, Ashlee Poirier, the Returning Officer announces the following to the voters of the Municipality of Sheenboro.
- The following seats are open for candidates:
Mayor and Councillors of Seats 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6
- Any nomination papers for one of these seats must be filed at the office of the Returning Officer on the following days and times:
Monday, September 22nd, 2025 to Thursday, September 25th, 2025: 9AM – 4PM
Monday, September 29th, 2025 to Thursday, October 2nd, 2025: 9AM – 4PM
Friday, October 3rd, 2025: 9AM – 4:30PM
- If more than one person wishes to be a candidate for the same seat, you may exercise your voting right by going to your assigned polling station on the following dates, times:
Advance polling day: Sunday, October 26th, 2025, from 12PM-8PM
Polling day: Sunday, November 2nd, 2025, from 10AM – 8PM
| If you are unable to come to the polling station for health reasons and are registered on the electoral list as a domiciled person, you may, until October 15th, 2025, request from your returning officer to vote in your room located in a recognized health care facility or at your home. The same applies to your caregiver. |
- You may vote by mail if your domicile is not within the territory of the municipality. To vote by mail, you must submit a request to the returning officer no later than October 15, 2025.
- The following person was appointed as election clerk and has been designated to receive nomination papers: Simon Tessier
