PRECAUTIONARY BOIL-WATER ADVISORY – VILLAGE OF CHAPEAU

October 13, 2026
L'Isle-aux-Allumettes
‼️💧 UPDATE – OCTOBER 13, 2026
PRECAUTIONARY BOIL-WATER ADVISORY – VILLAGE OF CHAPEAU
The Municipality of L’Isle-aux-Allumettes wishes to inform residents of the Village of Chapeau that the precautionary boil-water advisory issued on October 11 remains in effect until further notice.
We would also like to provide some clarification and reassurance to our residents.
In accordance with provincial guidelines established by the Ministry of the Environment (MELCCFP), the Municipality is required to issue precautionary boil-water advisories whenever work on the water distribution system or a loss of pressure presents a potential risk to water quality.
This is a standard preventive measure and does not mean that contamination has been detected. These precautions are taken to protect the health and safety of our community.
💧 Residents are reminded to continue bringing water to a full rolling boil for at least one minute before consuming it, until the advisory has officially been lifted.
We understand that this situation may cause inconvenience and sincerely appreciate everyone’s patience, cooperation, and understanding.
We will continue to keep residents informed as new information becomes available.
