Assistant Director General \/ Deputy Director General"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Municipality of L&#8217;Isle-aux-Allumettes &#8211; <strong>Assistant Director General \/ Deputy Director General<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Municipality of L\u2019Isle-aux-Allumettes is seeking a motivated and collaborative professional to join our team as <strong>Assistant Director General (ADG)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the Director General and municipal Councils to support the administration and development of our community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic municipal environment where priorities may evolve and collaboration is essential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This position may also support governance and administrative coordination across partner municipalities as part of ongoing shared service initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><u>Council and Governance Support<\/u><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assist in the preparation and organization of regular and special Council meetings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help draft resolutions, by-laws, meeting minutes, and reports<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure municipal procedures and legislative requirements are respected<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain legislative records and support the publication of required public notices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em><u>Administration and Operations<\/u><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assist the Director General in coordinating municipal administration and daily operations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support supervision and coordination of municipal staff and departments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with financial administration, project tracking, and contract monitoring<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribute to improving internal procedures and administrative systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em><u>Strategic Projects and Coordination<\/u><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assist with the coordination of major municipal initiatives and shared services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help prepare reports, briefing notes, and documentation for Council and partners<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support the development of intermunicipal agreements and partnerships<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor project timelines, funding requirements, and program reporting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em><u>Acting Director General (when required)<\/u><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide administrative leadership in the absence of the Director General<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Represent the municipality at meetings or with partners when delegated<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with oversight of municipal operations and staff coordination<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>College or university education in public administration, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience working in municipal administration is an asset<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Previous experience as a Municipal Director, Assistant Director General, Clerk-Treasurer, or Department Manager is considered an asset<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously and work independently when required<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professional judgment, discretion, and attention to detail<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bilingual (French and English), spoken and written; is required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Working Conditions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Permanent full-time administrative position<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flexible work environment with occasional evening Council or committee meetings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Competitive salary starting at <strong>$80,000<\/strong>, with upward adjustments based on qualifications and experience;
