{"id":182990,"date":"2025-02-28T11:18:28","date_gmt":"2025-02-28T16:18:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pontiacouest.ca.ottawavalleymedia.ca\/?p=182990"},"modified":"2025-02-28T11:18:29","modified_gmt":"2025-02-28T16:18:29","slug":"operator-labourer-lisle-aux-allumettes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pontiacouest.ca\/en\/operator-labourer-lisle-aux-allumettes\/","title":{"rendered":"OPERATOR \/ LABOURER &#8211; L\u2019ISLE-AUX-ALLUMETTES"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em><u>OPERATOR \/ LABOURER<\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Municipality of L\u2019Isle-aux-Allumettes is looking for an Operator-Labourer for its Public Works Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><u>PRIMARY TASKS:<\/u><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Operator-Labourer will provide a range of services such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Operation and driving of equipment and vehicles (including trucks, grader, backhoe, tractor and others);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>General roadwork, maintenance, repair and construction of roadways, as well as road signage and flagging;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Daily maintenance of the machinery, routine checks and reporting of any anomalies and deficiencies;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Respect of laws, policies and standards of workplace safety;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Execution of various manual tasks related to the work of the team;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any other related task requested by the supervisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><u>QUALIFICATIONS &amp; COMPETENCIES:<\/u><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The position requires the successful candidate to be able to take initiative, able to work required hours and be responsible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hold a valid driver&#8217;s license issued by the SAAQ Class 3, (Class 1 would be an asset)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have a high school diploma or equivalent;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be in good physical condition;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be able to read, write and speak effectively (bilingual would be an asset);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Previous roadwork and various operator experiences would be an asset;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other certifications, such as chain saw and \/ or confined spaces, would be an asset.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a permanent position starting immediately.&nbsp; We offer a competitive hourly wage based on experience, for a 40-hour week from Monday to Friday, including weekend availability for on-call hours, as required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applications will be accepted until <strong>noon on Tuesday<\/strong><strong>, March 25<sup>th<\/sup>, 2025<\/strong>, by e-mail at <a href=\"mailto:ajones@mrcpontiac.qc.ca\">ajones@mrcpontiac.qc.ca<\/a> or to the following address:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alicia Jones, Director General<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Municipality of L\u2019Isle-aux-Allumettes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">75, rue Notre-Dame<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L&#8217;Isle-aux-Allumettes, Quebec J0X 1M0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We would like to thank all applicants; however, only candidates selected for the interview will be contacted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>OPERATOR \/ LABOURER The Municipality of L\u2019Isle-aux-Allumettes is looking for an Operator-Labourer for its Public Works Department.
